I met Pef through Brett/Julie connection and got to ride on 2 motorcycle trips with him, a Neah Bay ride and the '06 Oregon ride. While camping on former ride I forgot to bring a flashlight with me. Pef had a small blue keyring LED that emitted enough light for me to see around inside my tent. The blue LED always reminded me of his cool custom decal helmet with blue LEDs out the back.
So, when I went out with Brett/Julie to put up the first cross at the site, I thought it would be appropriate to set an LED there shining upward, so I put one under a small glass dove on the support post. Too bad it was taken down. I hope a more permanent one stays there as a memorial.
I had a good time in Winthrop -- thank you to those supplying the food and drink too. I rode the blue Triumph America and stayed up later than the amigos I rode with. But, I hope to make the 3rd ann ride next year. I registered on this site as tommy66 and my email is tpike66@msn.com.
