Hi all,
Just a quick update on getting something done to help with traffic management on Hwy. 524 and Larch Way. I got a contact with WSDOT form the Snohomish County Public Works person. Apparently, since it's a state highway WSDOT is responsible.
I forwarded the letter I had written with an e-mail about what we see the issues are and told him I looked forward to hearing from him.
If I don't by Thursday, I'll give him a call. I'll let you know what he says on Saturday at our meeting.
Hope it's positive news.

Hi all,
I made another call to Mike Swires at WSDOT. He's the engineering guy who's in charge of traffic management. I've been patiently calling and waiting for a response to my initial letter.
This time I made it very clear that we are just citizens who are willling to help make a difference and are looking for the best way to go about that. I asked him again for a call back.
We'll see what happens.

Hi all, I posted this on the other site under projects but thought I'd put it here too. I wrote a letter to Representative Al O'Brien about the traffic issues on Hwy. 524 and the intersections of both Larch and Magnolia. I got a response back last week albeit a little lame. It was two very brief paragraphs stating that Mr. O'Brien would contact WSDOT to see what they have planned and that he would try to do something about the traffic on that road. It felt a little like a pat on the head if you know what I mean. Anyway, if I don't hear anything in the next couple of weeks, I'll write and ask for something a little more specific. ) Mom
